ABOUT SIMTA

More than 500 District, Taluk level and local transport associations are under the umbrella of SIMTA.

We are pleased to introduce Southzone Motor Transporter’s Welfare Association (SIMTA) as the apex body of the transport fraternity of Southern India which comprises all State Transport Associations viz., Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telengana, Kerala & Puducherry.

SIMTA is having 118 co-operative societies, three sprawling Driver Training Schools and 33 petrol pumps which are catering to the needs of the transport fraternity at a subsidized rate of Rs 2/- less than the market rate. Maximum National Permits are with the Transport fraternity from South India.

Southzone Motor Transporter’s Welfare Association has about 7 lacs members collectively representing about 35 lacs vehicles.

Management and Reporting

SIMTA has always been in the forefront as Good Samaritan in times of national crisis and for development of the country.

It is also engaged in various welfare activities in the interest of the transport trade and the nation.
